DePauw defeats Wabash, 5-2

September 21, 2005, Crawfordsville, Ind. - The DePauw men's soccer team improved to 3-2-1 on the season following a 5-2 win at Wabash. The Little Giants dropped to 2-6 with the defeat.
DePauw reached the board first as Nick Noel scored on an assist from Jacob Dodds at 18:30. Wabash knotted the game at 1-1 on Matt Potasnik's goal assisted by Michael Hutchins at 32:04. Wabash took the lead at 57:55 as Chris Serak scored, unassisted, but the Tigers rattled off four straight goals in a 24-minute stretch. Jeremy Rielley scored on a penalty kick at 64:19 before Scott Noel gave the Tigers the lead for good at 68:30 with an assist from Nick Noel. Nick Noel then scored his second goal of the afternoon at 82:29 on Graham Lukens' assist and Rielley rounded out the scoring with an unassisted goal at 88:07. DePauw outshot Wabash, 26-12 and Wabash held a 7-6 edge in corners. DePauw's John Fenley recorded three saves, while Will McAdams had seven for the Little Giants. The Tigers host Franklin on Saturday at noon. Back
