Lilly Endowment Will Double and Even Triple Some Annual Fund Gifts

December 21, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - Making a year-end gift to DePauw University's Annual Fund -- to support students and faculty members -- can reduce your tax liability for 2005 and, through the generosity of Lilly Endowment, there's an additional opportunity to have your dollars doubled. The Annual Fund Loyalty & Leadership Challenge, made possible by Lilly Endowment, provides matching incentives for individuals who make new or increased commitments. Alumni and friends who provide increased support over the amount of their 2004-05 gift will receive a 2:1 match for the amount of the increase. They will receive a 3:1 match for the amount of the increase if they make a two-year commitment.
The challenge also encourages new gifts to the Annual Fund. If alumni and friends 
who did not provide support during the 2004-05 year opt to make a gift prior to June 30, 2006, they will receive a 2:1 match for their entire gift or a $100 match, whichever is larger.
Giving to the Annual Fund helps to support today's DePauw students and faculty members. You may target your gift to student scholarships, faculty support, Winter Term and off-campus study, creative and performing arts, technology and library support, athletics or unrestricted support.
