Heather Unruh '89 Emcees Fundraiser Featuring Former President Bill Clinton

May 17, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Heather Unruh, a news anchor at Boston's WCVB-TV and 1989 graduate of DePauw University, served as emcee at the American Heart Association's annual gala in Beantown Saturday night, which featured a keynote address by former President Bill Clinton, reports the Boston Herald. "Once an overweight child and more recently a heart bypass patient, Clinton has teamed up with the association to create the Alliance for a Healthier Generation to help stop childhood obesity by 2010," states the newspaper's account of the fundraiser.
"We have a generation of Americans to save and a country to put right," Clinton told attendees. "There is no bigger problem than childhood obesity."
