Tigers name three assistant football coaches

June 7, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw Director of Athletics Page Cotton has announced the addition of three assistant football coaches to the athletic department. Len Felton, Bobby Jackson and Jamie Zorbo will join second-year head coach Tim Rogers' staff.

Felton earned a bachelor of science degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1988 and comes from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, where he was the defensive backs coach each of the last two years.

He previously served one year each as an assistant at both St. Norbert College and Lawrence University and was the head coach at St. Thomas Moore High School as well as an assistant in the Village of Allouez School, both in Green Bay. Felton also was a sports reporter for WLUK-TV in Green Bay for 14 years.

Jackson graduated from the University of Illinois in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in history and was a four-year starting safety for the Illini. A four-year letterman, Jackson served as team captain twice including his senior season when Illinois was the outright Big Ten champion and played in the 2002 Sugar Bowl.

He played professionally with NFL Europe's Scottish Claymore in 2003 where he was the team's special team's captain. Jackson was also on the NFL rosters of the New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers. Most recently, he was an assistant coach at Champaign Central High School in Illinois.

Zorbo graduated from Kalamazoo College in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in chemistry before earning a master's in business administration from Western Michigan University in 2004. An assistant coach at Kalamazoo since 2000, Zorbo has served as the assistant head coach since December 2005 and as the defensive coordinator since 2004.

He coached six all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association players including Division III's leading tackler and conference defensive player of the year in 2004. Zorbo earned four letters for Rogers' Hornets as a defensive end and was an all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association selection in 1999.

Coming off a 7-2 season that included the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference co-championship, DePauw opens the 2006 season at home against Anderson University at noon on September 9.
