Veteran Coach Kit Cartwright to Assist Tiger Football Program

July 10, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Kit Cartwright, who has coached at Big Ten universities and most recently served as Butler University's head football coach, has joined the DePauw University football staff as an offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. Cartwright is a 1976 graduate of Bowling Green State University graduate and has coached at 11 different universities and has served as an offensive coordinator at three Division I schools.
"We're very excited that Kit has joined the staff," head coach Matt Walker said. "We are fortunate to bring in a coach with the level of experience he has."
In his thirty year college coaching career, Cartwright has helped seven different teams to postseason bowl games and worked with future NFL stars Tom Brady and Brian Griese when they were played collegiately.
The Tigers open the 2006 season September 9 when they host Anderson University at Blackstock Stadium.
