Poems of Prof. Joe Heithaus in Online Literary Journal

July 31, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Five poems by Joe Heithaus, associate professor of English at DePauw University, appear in the latest edition of El Adelantado de Indiana. Heithaus contributes After Light, The Angels at My Brother's Death, Bad Translation, Husband's Apology and Taking It. The poems are published in both English and Spanish, with translation provided by Emilia del Río Martínez.
El Adelantado de Indiana, an online literary journal, is published as a collaborative effort between a group of Segovian writers and artists and their counterparts at universities in the Americas and beyond. Robert P. Hershberger, associate professor of Spanish and film and chair of the department of modern languages at DePauw, serves as co-editor of the publication.

Joe Heithaus' work has been appeaed in Poetry, the North American Review, the African-American Review and the Southern Review. He holds a Ph.D. in American Literature and an M.F.A. in writing from Indiana University. His undergraduate degree is from the State University of New York at Albany.
