August 3, 2006
August 3, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - "I'm very honored to be working with such a wonderful organization," says Cathryn Cassells Ensley, who has been named executive director of the United Way of Putnam County. Ensley, a 1998 graduate of DePauw University, adds, "This is an exciting time to be working for United Way, an organization that has gone through a period of steady growth, yet still has such a vital mission."
A story published in today's Banner-Graphic and written by by Jason Moon (who took the photo at top) notes that Ensley is a former United Way board member and volunteer, and chaired the agency's 2006 campaign. She comes to her new position after working as project manager with the Indiana Department of Transportation. She has also served as deputy clerk-treasurer for Greencastle and as a legislative assistant for the Indiana House of Representatives. "I've done lots of volunteer work along the way," says Ensley, who majored in political science at DePauw.
