Indiana Methodists Begin Considering Sites for New University

October 15, 1835, Indianapolis, Ind. - Considering the availability of "cheap boarding, general health and morals of the town" as well as a central location and the amount of money to be subscribed, the Indiana Conference of the Methodist Church begins considering sites for a new Methodist University to be known as Indiana Asbury.
