Tiger Defense Holds Back Wabash, Keeps Monon Bell with 6-6 Tie

November 14, 1959, Greencastle, Ind. - The Monon Bell will stay in Greencastle for a fifth consecutive year after the DePauw Tigers fought Wabash College to a 6-6 tie at Blackstock Stadium today. DePauw's defense stopped a Wabash drive that ended on the Tigers' 2-yard-line as the clock expired. The victory gives new coach Tommy Mont a triumph in his first-ever battle for the Bell. DePauw finishes the season 2-7.
