Wiley Pearson '70 to Manage Gubernatorial Campaign in Kentucky

January 10, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - "A political strategist who played a role in a Democratic resurgence in Ohio in the November election will manage the Kentucky gubernatorial campaign of Jonathan Miller," begins a story distributed by the Associated Press. "The appointment of Wiley Pearson, a retired Marine lieutenant colonel who holds a degree in political science from DePauw University, was announced Wednesday." Pearson is a 1970 graduate of DePauw.

The article notes that prior to his service as director of the Ohio Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign, Pearson worked for the American Federation of Government Employees and served as aide to U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Maryland).
