Chicago Prep School Basketball Standout Eyes DePauw

Nizio -- who has scored 1,643 points in her high school career -- is averaging 13 points per game this season, along with seven rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Her coach, Mike Heavey, declares, "She's been our building block for four years. She would come into open gyms after she was accepted to the school, and she would play with the varsity kids. She was playing with seniors in eighth grade and went toe-to-toe. We saw something special and just built from there." The coach adds, "Even with her individual accomplishments, she is constantly working to benefit her classmates and teammates. She puts aside individual glory for the success of the team."
