Tigers Stall Wabash Drives, Keep Monon Bell with 20-7 Victory

November 18, 1961, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw University completed its first winning football season since 1957 by defeating arch rival Wabash College this afternoon at Blackstock Stadium, 20-7. The visitors from Crawfordsville had 8 more first downs than DePauw and produced more total offense, but two Wabash drives inside the 10 produced no points and DePauw took an early lead and never looked back.

Coach Tom Mont's crew finishes the season with a 5-4 mark.
