Steve Wasz '81 Publishes Mischief: A Collection of Juvenile High-Jinx
May 9, 2007
May 9, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - Stephen W. Wasz, a 1981 graduate of DePauw University, is the author of Mischief: A Collection of Juvenile High-Jinx. The Post-Bulletin of Rochester, Minnesota reports that Wasz, "a teacher in the Adult and Family Literacy Program, will sign his new book ... from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Barnes and Noble at Apache Mall."
The newspaper reports that the book "is a series of short stories that he says will renew 'your appreciation for the impulsive creativity of yesterday's youth.' Based on Wasz's childhood escapades, these tales of adolescent tomfoolery are set in suburban Piedmont, Calif., and then suburban Chicago. Wasz timed the book to Mother's Day and it is dedicated to his mom and a neighbor's mother."
The text continues, "Wasz majored in English composition in college, graduated from DePauw University in 1981, received a M.B.A. from Illinois Benedictine University in 1989 and has published various free-lance articles since graduation. He teaches English as a second language and adult basic education in Rochester's Adult Literacy Program."
