Washington Post Notes Athletic Hall of Fame Induction of Kreg Kephart '77
November 8, 2007
November 8, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - Tonight's Maryland high school football game between Magruder (5-4) and Gaithersburg (6-3) has a DePauw connection, notes today's Washington Post. "This game is being played tonight because this weekend Gaithersburg Coach Kreg Kephart is being inducted into the athletic hall of fame at his alma mater, DePauw University. The Trojans could send him out there on a good note, after losing three of their last five," reports the newspaper.
Kephart, a 1977 graduate who excelled in football, will be among six honorees at Saturday night's induction ceremony, which begins at 6:30 p.m. in Walden Inn Conference Center. The others are:
- Sandra Gyorgyi '84, women's tennis
- Mac Parker '51, basketball/track
- Gordon Pittenger '73, basketball
- Roland Rust '74, track/cross country
- Tim Weaver '86, football/baseball
