Pro Golfer Kyle Reifers Follows in Footsteps of DePauw Hall-of-Famer Dad

July 23, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - "Born in Columbus, Ohio, Kyle Reifers was shown the way in the game of golf by an accomplished mother and father," states an article on the PGA Tour's Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational, which begins tomorrow. "Both won Ohio State Amateur titles, the same event Kyle won in 2004. His father, Randy [pictured], is a member of the Ohio Golf Hall of Fame and played on the same college golf team at DePauw University as former Vice President Dan Quayle and TV analyst Mark Rolfing."
Randy Reifers is a 1968 graduate of DePauw and is also a member of the University's Athletic Hall of Fame.
The story notes that Kyle Reifers, "who played on the PGA Tour last year, has three top-10s in 2008, including a T3 at the Knoxville Open. He is 29th on current money list." He'll be among 143 tour pros and collegiate All-Americans who will tee off at the Ohio State University Golf Club tomorrow at 1 p.m.
