Kori Stoffregen is SCAC Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year

November 20, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw University's Kori Stoffregen has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year in voting by the SCAC's head coaches. "For Stoffregen, this is the sixth straight year he has been named SCAC Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year and the seventh time overall," notes the announcement. "He has also earned the Men's COTY award seven times. Only Rhodes College's Robert Shankman with a combined 15 Cross Country COTY awards has more than Stoffregen's 14."
Stoffregen, who has served as head cross country and track coach since 1996, guided the Tigers to a sixth straight SCAC title. Ranked #18 nationally, DePauw has earned a trip to its fifth consecutive NCAA Division III Championship on Saturday, November 22.
