Stuart Buttrick '97 Becomes Partner at Baker & Daniels

January 9, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — Stuart R. Buttrick, a 1997 graduate of DePauw University, has been made a partner at Baker & Daniels LLP. A member of the labor and employment group, Buttrick practices from the firm's downtown Indianapolis office.
"He focuses his legal work on representing management in labor relations matters, including proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, arbitrations and contract negotiations," notes an item posted at the Indianapolis Star's Web site. "He has defended and prosecuted numerous unfair labor practice charges and represented employers in multiple unfair labor practice trials. Buttrick also regularly develops strategies to help companies remain non-union and commonly counsels employers on union jurisdictional disputes and lawful and unlawful picketing and strike activity. Buttrick's practice also consists of representing employers in employment litigation and administrative charges. He has defended employers in more than 100 state and federal court employment cases in 10 states and handled appellate work before multiple federal Circuit Court of Appeals."
