3 Women's Tennis Players are All-SCAC; Scott Riggle is Coach of the Year

May 21, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — "DePauw (Ind.) sophomore tennis player Janelle Arita (Punahou '07 of Mililani; pictured at left) was named to the All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team," reports the Honolulu Advertiser. The news item adds, "Arita went 23-10 in singles and 21-10 in doubles during the regular season." Arita is joined on the SCAC first team by junior Greer Mackie. Junior Kayla Smith was an honorable mention selection, and the women's tennis team's coach, Scott Riggle, was named the conference's coach of the year for the fifth time in seven years.

The Tigers won their second consecutive conference title and ended the season ranked #12 in NCAA Division III.
