Robby Long to Lead DePauw Football Program in 2009

August 7, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. —  Matt Walker '99, head football coach at DePauw for the past three seasons and the University's head baseball coach since 2000, resigned today, effective immediately. Robby Long (pictured at left), who had been serving as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator, has been appointed the Tigers' interim head coach.

The announcement of a replacement to lead the baseball program will be made soon.

An assistant coach at DePauw since 2004, Robby Long is a native of Champaign, Illinois. He earned a bachelor of science of applied life degree from the University of Illinois, where he was a three-year football letterman.

The 2009 football season opens September 12 at Anderson.
