January 10, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — Daniel E. Shannon, University Professor and professor of philosophy, contributes a paper to the latest edition (volume 6, number 2) of St. Anselm Journal. Dr. Shannon's article is entitled "Justifying Atonement: An Anselmian Response to Modern Critics."
St. Anselm Journal is a refereed e-journal of articles, discussion papers, and book reviews that examine the life, thought, teachings, and spirituality of Saint Anselm of Canterbury as well as proceedings of programs sponsored by the Institute for Saint Anselm Studies.

Dan Shannon is co-editor of The Challenges of Globalization: Rethinking Nature, Culture, and Freedom and contributed an essay to Humanity at the Turning Point: Rethinking Nature, Culture and Freedom. The professor served as conference organizer for 6th World Congress of International Society for Universal Dialogue (ISUD), which was held in Helsinki in July 2005.
