January 14, 2010
January 14, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — "Adam Cohen will again serve as council president," notes a Banner-Graphic story on Tuesday's meeting of the Greencastle Common Council. Cohen is head men's swimming coach, aquatics director and instructor of kinesiology at DePauw University.
Jared Jernagan writes, "Appointments to the redevelopment commission were once again up at the beginning of the year. Councilors voted unanimously to reappoint Jim Ruark to the commission and to appoint DePauw economics professor Dr. Gary Lemon." Ruark is assistant director of facilities management, operations, at DePauw. Lemon is Joseph Percival Allen III University Professor, James W. Emison Director of the Robert C. McDermond Center for Management and Entrepreneurship and director of DePauw's Management Fellows Program.
Of Lemon, Cohen -- who earned a master's degree from DePauw in 1989-- tells the newspaper, "In these uncertain times, I think he brings some expertise."
