DePauw and Rose-Hulman to Renew Football Rivalry in the Fall

January 26, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — "The 2010 Rose-Hulman football schedule released Monday features rivalry games to start and end the season for the first time since 1947," notes today's Terre Haute Tribune-Star. "Rose-Hulman renews its rivalry with DePauw for the first time since 2005 with a trip to Greencastle on Sept. 11. The season-opening matchup kicks off at 1 p.m. and will represent the 54th meeting between the two schools."

Also accessible online is the Tigers' 2010 football schedule, which includes the 117th meeting with Wabash College on November 13 in Crawfordsville. The battle for the Monon Bell is one of college football's oldest and closest rivalries. The Little Giants take a slim one game advantage in the all-time series, which began in 1890, 54-53-9. DePauw leads in games played since the Monon Bell was introduced in 1932 as the winners' prize by a 37-35-6 count.
