DePauw Ranked 11th in Both National Women's Basketball Polls

March 3, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — Following a sweep of their three games at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament, the 25-3 DePauw women's basketball team moved up three spots to 11th in both national polls.
DePauw totaled 337 points in the D3hoops.com Top 25 rankings and garnered 101 points in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll.
Two of the Tigers' three losses this season have come to sixth-ranked Washington-St. Louis and 13th-ranked Thomas More.
Since the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll debuted in 1999, DePauw has been ranked in the top 25 in 126 of the 169 polls and received votes 165 times.
The Tigers have notched their ninth straight 20-win season and 13th in the last 14 years.
DePauw returns to the NCAA Division III Championship for a seventh straight year and 11th time in 15 years when it opens tournament play on Friday against 22-6 Lakeland College.
Tipoff for the first-round game from DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland, Mich. is set for 5:30 p.m. Fourth-ranked and host Hope College and Denison University square off at 7:30 p.m. with the winners playing at 7 p.m. on Saturday for the right to advance to the Division III Round of 16.
