August 18, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — David M. Perkins, president of Racine Federated Inc. and 1971 graduate of DePauw University, has been elected to the Park High School Hall of Fame. Located in Racine, Wisconsin, the high school has now honored 226 of it's most illustrious graduates. Perkins, a 1967 Park graduate, was one of four new members added to the Hall of Fame this summer.
An article in the Racine Journal Times notes that Perkins majored in economics at DePauw "and went on to earn an M.B.A. from Marquette University in 1974, where he was a Paul P. Harris fellow recipient. Perkins returned to Racine and was the chief financial officer for ACME Die Cast Corp. for more than a decade. In 1986, he moved on to Racine Federated Inc. as a director, becoming vice president and chief financial officer in May 1990. On July 1, 2008, Perkins was appointed president of Racine Federated Inc. and continues in that position today."
The text continues, "In addition to his business accomplishments, he has held numerous volunteer positions, most notably serving as chairman of Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce, chairman of the All Saints Health Care/Wheaton Franciscan system, president of the Racine Community Foundation and campaign chair of the Racine United Way."
