ConAgra Commercial Foods President Robert Sharpe '75 to Retire

October 15, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — "ConAgra Foods Inc. said Friday that Robert F. Sharpe Jr., president of its commercial foods business, intends to retire at the end of the company's 2011 fiscal year in May," reports the Associated Press today. "Sharpe has agreed to serve as senior advisor to ConAgra's chief executive." 

A 1975 graduate of DePauw University, Sharpe was previously a partner at Brunswick Group, and senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary at PepsiCo, Inc.  His career has also included posts at RJR Nabisco and Tyco International.
