David Forsell '89 Works to Positively Impact Environment, Society and Economy
July 26, 2011
July 26, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — David Forsell, president of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful and 1989 graduate of DePauw University, writes, "as we endeavor to plant and tend 100,000 urban trees, we too are focused on 'right relationship' and a civic triple bottom line -- impacting for the better our city's environment, society, and economy." In an Indianapolis Star column, Forsell introduces readers to his organization's Youth Tree Team.
"These young women, and 43 of their peers, are being paid well to care for trees that will provide returns for generations," he states. "What is the Youth Tree Team's triple bottom line return for Indianapolis? A healthier environment. Cooler, safer, and more valuable neighborhood. And good work and solid income for young people as they care for 'otherkind.' "
