Sophomore Ellen Myers is 'Miss DePauw'

April 21, 1961, Greencastle, Ind. — Ellen Myers, a DePauw University sophomore from Evansville, Indiana, has been crowned "Miss DePauw" for 1961 in a contest tonight. Selected from among ten co-ed finalists, Myers received a $100 scholarship from the Pepsi-Cola Company and earned the opportunity to compete in the Miss Indiana pageant, which will take place July 8 in Michigan City.
The Miss DePauw contest is sponsored by Phi Delta Theta fraternity; judging is done by a panel of off-campus guests.
Jane Hocker, a freshman from Evansville, was first runner-up, while freshman Pam Fuller from Champaign, Illinois was second runner-up.
