Rev. Ericka Parkinson Kilbourne '98 Installed as Pastor

September 26, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — "A native of Glen Ellyn, Ill., she always knew she wanted to be a pastor and attended DePauw University, Greencastle, Ind., focusing on religious studies," notes a Michigan City News Dispatch story on the Rev. Ericka Parkinson Kilbourne. "The experience, she says, helped theologically mold who she is today." "I saw my faith in the simplest terms," she tells the newspaper. "My studies helped me understand God is less about boundaries than humanity would like to believe. I also began to understand my call as a woman in theology ... and developed an appreciation for other religions. I studied them and respected them, but it also strengthened my faith as a Christian."

Kilbourne attended Princeton Theological Seminary and is working on her doctorate of ministry through McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.
