DePauw has now won all six all-time meetings between the two football programs.
DePauw fumbled on its first possession and the Kangaroos responded with a quick score, taking a 7-0 lead less than a minute into the contest.
With 6:53 left in the second quarter, freshman quarterback Drew Seaman connected with junior tight end Bobby Coburn on a 23-yard touchdown pass, knotting the score.
A 21-yard field goal fourteen seconds before the end of the first half gave Austin a 10-7 advantage at the break.
Seaman, making his second start, found Taylor Wagner (pictured at right) on a 30-yard scoring strike with 10:57 left in the third quarter, and the visitors took their first lead of the day, 14-10.
A seven yard scamper by Jordan Hickam on an end run increased the Tiger advantage to 21-10 with 1:16 left in the third quarter.
The 'Roos narrowed the gap to 21-17 with a 25-yard touchdown pass with 8:52 remaining in the game.
DePauw then turned the ball over on a fumble on their own 10 yard line. On a fourth down-and-goal from the 2 yard line an Austin touchdown pass attempt was incomplete.
Seaman completed 11-of-19 passes for 114 yards with two TDs and one interception before leaving the game with an injury in the third quarter. Senior Will King completed 3-of-5 passes for 15 yards in relief.
Armani Cato (pictured at left) led the DePauw running game with 90 yards on 27 carries. Wagner, Coburn and D.J. Steward each had three receptions.
