Iraq "Pretty Devastated" as US Leaves: Prof. Vikash Yadav '91
December 21, 2011
As the United States ends its military mission in Iraq, Vikash Yadav says, "I think it's good that we are leaving, but I'm not sure what the scenario will look like once we do leave." An associate professor of political science at Hobart and William Smith Colleges and 1991 graduate of DePauw University, Dr. Yadav is cited in an article in New York's Finger Lakes Times. "We're leaving a country that is pretty devastated," he notes.
"It was a very troubling decision to go to war, and we knew we were moving to a region when it would be a very difficult time to be there," Yadav adds.
