Karen Turman '81 to be Inducted Into HS Athletic Hall of Fame

Karen E. Turman, a 1981 graduate of DePauw University, is among 10 individuals who will be inducted into the Hamilton, Ohio City School District's Athletic Hall of Fame.  Turman and the other members of the Hall's 17th class will be honored January 26 at a dinner to be held at the Courtyard by Marriott.

"Turman, a 1977 graduate of Taft, played two years of varsity tennis for the boys team before the girls team was formed her senior season," reports the Hamilton Journal News. "Her senior season, Turman teamed with Sue Barber Westin to finish second in the state. Turman went on to play tennis at DePauw University and is currently a teacher and tennis coach in Tampa, Fla."
