Ed Garnes '99 to Moderate Session at Atlanta Film Festival & Music Conference

Ed Garnes, a 1999 graduate of DePauw University, will moderate a panel discussion which is part of the FJK (FunkJazz Kafé) Documentary Film Festival and Music Conference on Saturday, October 5, in Atlanta. The session is titled "Finding Success With Crowd Funding."

Edward M. Garnes Jr., an English (writing) major at DePauw and founder of From Afros to Shelltoes, also holds an M.A. in counseling from Michigan State University. He contributed essays to the anthologies, Where Did Our Love Go and Not In My Family: AIDS in the African American Community.

Garnes serves as an adjunct professor of public speaking at Spelman College and is also the subject of this previous story.
