Morrison and Elliott Earn All-Region Honors

Greencastle, Ind.- DePauw men’s soccer captains Andy Morrison (Bristol, Ind./Northridge) and George Elliott (Naperville, Ill./Benet Academy) have been selected to the 2013 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Men’s All-Great Lakes Region teams.
Morrison (pictured right), a junior forward, is making his second straight appearance as a first team selection in addition to a second team section in 2011, while Elliott (pictured below), a senior midfielder, was tabbed a second team selection.
On the field, Morrison shared the team lead this season with 14 goals and led the Tigers with seven assists for a team-high 35 points. He also delivered seven game-winning goals for the 14-2-3 Tigers.
Morrison ranks in a tie for fourth in school history with 36 career goals, tied for eighth with 18 assists and tied for third with 90 points. He was recently named to the Capital One Academic All-America® Division III Men’s Soccer Third Team in addition to being a first team all-NCAC selection.
In the midfield, Elliott played a key role in the Tigers’ success this season scoring one goal and adding five assists. His leadership helped DePauw open the season with 10 straight victories and finish ranked 17th in the d3soccer.com poll.
Elliott was named to the all-NCAC first team this season after being named to the second team the past two years.
