Deborah Daniels '73 to be Inducted Into The Indiana Academy

Deborah J. Daniels, a partner in Indianapolis-based law firm Krieg DeVault LLP and 1973 graduate of DePauw University, is among four new members who will be inducted into The Indiana Academy at a symposium next Monday, October20. The honorees will be recognized by the Independent Colleges of Indiana for their lifetime of achievement and contributions to the cultural, scientific, literary, civic, religious, and educational development of Indiana.
The Indiana Academy was established in 1970 by ICI to further the development of public service, higher education, the arts and sciences, literature, and the general culture of the state through the recognition of individual leadership, achievement, and philanthropy.
Daniels has "lengthy experience in criminal and civil investigations and corporate compliance," notes ICI's announcement. "Her prior service includes terms as a U.S. attorney of the Southern District of Indiana and an assistant attorney general with the U.S. Department of Justice. She is a trustee of the University of Indianapolis and a former member of the board of visitors of DePauw University, her alma mater."

Modeled after The French Academy, The Indiana Academy was established in 1970 by the Independent Colleges of Indiana to recognize individual leadership, achievement, and philanthropy designed to promote the advancement of the state, as well as its independent sector of higher education. It is supported by a generous and enduring gift from the Tony and Mary Fendrich Hulman Endowment Fund and Academy members.
