Annie Burnside '92 Publishes From Role to Soul: 15 Shifts on the Awakening Journey
December 18, 2014
Annie Burnside, a 1992 graduate of DePauw University, is the author of From Role to Soul: 15 Shifts on the Awakening Journey. Published by Wyatt-MacKenzie, the book offers Burnside's "personal reflections on living consciously as a blended being -- both human and soul, simultaneously -- in everyday life," notes the publisher.
Jill Schroder, author of Becoming: Journeying Toward Authenticity, says that Burnside's book "cuts through the linguistic maze of religion versus spiritual paths right to the chase."
A sociology major at DePauw, Annie (Derrickson) Burnside's previous book, Soul to Soul Parenting: A Guide to Raising a Spiritually Conscious Family, received the 2011 Nautilus Silver Book Award in the Family/Parenting Category, the 2011 Next Generation Indie Gold Book Award in the Spirituality Category, and a 2011 Next Generation Indie Book Finalist in the Parenting Category.
Burnside also holds a master's degree in education from DePaul University.
