Knuth and Masten co-chaired the project that led to a splash park being created at at Robe-Ann Park. They were honored at a dinner Saturday night at DePauw's indoor tennis and track facility.
The splash park opened last August. The two women, who have both served as president of the Greencastle Civic League, "shepherded its progress through planning, fundraising and construction," reports the Banner-Graphic.
Beth Flint, president of the Greencastle Chamber, says, "These two people worked tirelessly for three years to bring this wonderful addition to our community. And thanks to all their hard work, we'll all be able to enjoy the splash park for years to come."
She adds, "It was a quality-of-life project, an economic development project and a place for kids to go and have fun," she said.
