"It was after reading the job-hunting self-help book What Color is Your Parachute? that Molly Costello figured out her passion," notes Cincinnati's CityBeat. "A good friend recommended that I read the book," recalls Costello, who majored in sociology as an undergraduate. "I was leery at first because it sounded corny, but as I got into it, it was a really neat exercise, and cooking kept coming up. I had always loved to cook. My mother was a caterer growing up, and I figured out that I really enjoyed working on my feet in a fast paced environment, all the things that the restaurant industry provides."
Molly (Thompson) Costello worked at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange after graduating, and later attended the Midwest Culinary Institute at Cincinnati State University.
Asked what she likes most about her job, Costello says, "That sense of accomplishment when it all comes together and we’re all able to just bang it out and make everyone’s food tasty, and we’re getting it out in a timely fashion, and the staff is in a great mood because they’re excited because we’re busy and it’s just that fun sense of exhilaration."
