March 16, 2015
"Part of the appeal of the Twin Cities is a vibrant, successful restaurant scene, and Jill Skogheim is dedicated to keeping that tradition alive and advancing," notes the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The publication features Skogheim, a 2000 graduate of DePauw University, among its "40 Under 40."
"As president of the 5-8 Club restaurants, she's worked to open several new eateries that expand the footprint of the original, and decidedly popular, 5-8 Club in South Minneapolis," writes Elizabeth Millard. "The restaurant group now has four 5-8 locations in the Twin Cities, and it's likely there are plenty more juicy lucy opportunities ahead."
The Journal adds that Skogheim's "community engagement efforts are just as robust." She is president-elect of the Junior League of Saint Paul. "With her leadership, the organization has created the Healthy Body, Healthy Brains initiative, which focuses on increasing children's readiness to learn by addressing food insecurity and nutrition."
