Wes Hobson '89 is TV Station's 'Athlete of the Week'

September 15, 1988, Greencastle, Ind. - "This week's 'Athlete of the Week' is a triple threat because he has to be if he's going to compete," noted Terre Haute CBS affiliate WTHI-TV as it introduced a feature on triathlete and DePauw University senior Wes Hobson.  Brad Schultz said it's possible Hobson is "our most versatile athlete yet."

A member of the Tiger men's swim team, Hobson competes in triathlons during the summer.  It notes that last week, Hobson finished second overall at the National Triathlon Championship in Pennsylvania.

The piece includes footage of Hobson in the Lilly Center pool and running on the Blackstock Stadium track.  It aired during the station's 6 p.m. newscast, and the video is embedded below.
