June 15, 2015
Caroline I. Ruhl, president of Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors and 1974 graduate of DePauw University, will be inducted Thursday into the Quad-Cities Business Hall of Fame. The program, presented by Junior Achievement of the Heartland, "recognizes Quad-City business leaders who demonstrate the highest standards of business ethics and serve as role models for JA students and volunteers," notes the Quad-City Business Journal. "Since its inception, the Hall of Fame has honored more than 60 area leaders."
Caroline Ruhl is the fourth generation of Ruhls to lead the residential brokerage and home services company, which is based in Davenport, Iowa, and "is ranked as Iowa’s largest privately owned real estate company with the highest number of transactions per agent." A Spanish major at DePauw, she went on to earn an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.
"At Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors, when we recruit a new agent, we are effectively urging them to start their own business, to become an entrepreneur," she tells the publication. "The advantages we share with them are: The ability to control their own destiny and the satisfaction of helping their clients fulfill their dreams and create wealth. It can be very fulfilling as our clients truly appreciate what we do for them. Our agents, who are entrepreneurs, are making a positive difference in the lives of their clients."
Ruhl adds, "I think if all of us share our experiences as entrepreneurs with the next generation, we can inspire them to follow in our footsteps."
