"Batesville natives Connor Jeffers and Tyler Leising have played football together for 15 years, since second grade through senior year at DePauw University, Greencastle," begins a feature in Indiana's Batesville Herald Tribune. "Both earned varsity letters all four years and helped turn the DePauw football program around, guiding the Tigers from a 2-8 record in their freshmen season, to an 8-2 mark and a berth in the North Coast Athletic Conference playoffs as seniors this fall. They started on offense and were part of the best offensive season in the NCAA Division III program's 128-year history," writes Christopher Aune.
"Jeffers, a wide receiver, finished the season at DePauw with 21 catches for 346 yards and 4 touchdowns. He earned the Kenneth Brooks Holland Memorial Award, a scholar athlete award. Locally, he was a two-time All-Conference player in the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference and was names an All-State defensive back as a senior.
"Leising, a tight end, hauled in 19 for 288 yards and 3 touchdowns, garnering 1st Team All-Conference honors in the NCAC and offensive MVP of the 122nd Monon Bell Classic against Wabash College, Crawfordsville. He also was twice named All-EIAC and the Team MVP as a senior."
