Indiana Broadcasters Association Awards Scholarship to Sophomore Tilly Marlatt
April 18, 2017
DePauw University sophomore Tilly Marlatt is one of six Indiana college students to be awarded scholarships from the Indiana Broadcasters Association. The awards, of $5,000 each, will "help them pursue degrees in the field of broadcasting."
A double major in communication and English writing, Marlatt "plans to pursue a career as an investigative reporter at a TV station upon graduation," notes an article. Besides serving as news director of DePauw's television operation, D3TV, she is a Media Fellow and a general assignment reporter for Indiana's Zionsville Times Sentinel.
"This year's recipients of the IBA Scholarship have demonstrated a staunch commitment to the field of broadcasting and a high level of achievement both in and out of the classroom," says Dave Arland, executive director of IBA. "We are honored to support their ongoing education with these awards."
The Indiana Broadcasters Association is an alliance of more than 300 member radio and television broadcasters.
