May 30, 2018
An incoming DePauw University student is featured in a New York Times article, "Unvarnished Tales of Getting Into College in the U.S." The piece examines "the good, the bad and the ugly of college admissions in the United States: With the admissions process in the rearview mirror, college-bound high school seniors tell all."
Kassey Hermitt is an 18-year-old from New York who will attend DePauw this fall. She recalls, "Going on social media and finding people who attend DePauw University. I asked them serious questions, so I could gain full insight into the school. I used the information I gathered in my DePauw interview to impress the New York representative! I got into DePauw with a full-tuition scholarship."
