Newspaper Notes Summer Internship of Maria Flores '20

Maria Flores is spending the summer as an intern with the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region, notes the Record of Troy, New York.

"Flores is the development and marketing assistant at YWCA-GCR," according to the newspaper. "She is from Chicago, and is a rising junior at DePauw University, majoring in women's, gender and sexuality studies. With this being her first time living outside the Midwest, Flores said she is excited to spend the summer exploring a new state and working alongside an organization she is passionate about."

"It is so great to be a part of a team that is energized about the work they are doing for their community," says Flores, who is part of Siena College's Summer Scholars program. "I am honored to work alongside such powerful women and I know I will learn a lot from this experience."
