Faculty Elections and Committee Appointments
The faculty reorganized its committee structure during the 2014-15 academic year. The number of faculty on many committees was reduced. Terms on all committees were reduced from three-years to two-years. Faculty members of core committees and the University Strategic Planning Committee are directly elected by the faculty in accordance with the Academic Handbook in the spring semester for the next academic year. Elected committee vacancies are filled on an as needed basis via special elections. Members of all other committees defined in the Academic Handbook: University-wide, standing, and ad hoc, are appointed by the Faculty Priorities and Governance Committee.
