The third edition of “Fishing for Dummies,” by English professor Greg Schwipps has been published.
The research article “Married Congresswomen and the New Breed of Political Husbands in 1970s Political Culture” by Sarah Rowley, assistant history professor, is included in the new book “Suffrage at 100: Women in Politics since 1920,” published by Johns Hopkins University Press.
An article by history professor Nayhan Fancy, “Verification and Utility in the Arabic Commentaries on the Canon of Medicine,” was published in the October issue of the Journal of the History of Medicine and Allied Sciences, one of the top journals in the field.
The Trasimeno Regional Archaeology Project, the work of a field school in which DePauw is a partner, recently launched a digital museum. DePauw’s work at the archaeological site is overseen by Rebecca Schindler, the Edwin L. Minar professor of classical studies, and Pedar Foss, a classical studies professor.
Sami Aziz, chaplain and director of the Center for Spiritual Life, recently participated on a panel on interfaith environmentalism at Queens College. He and the other panelists, two rabbis, discussed the importance of environmental protection and activism in their respective traditions.
