Valentine’s Day at DePauw was DePauw-some, thanks to our big-hearted alumni.

Chris Wolfe, social media manager, asked alumni via social media if they’d like to send a Valentine to a favorite professor or staff member. And the response? Overwhelming. By the end of the day, there were 400 requests to share the love.

So the comms and marketing team got busy addressing, sorting and hand-delivering the specially designed Valentines to the beloved recipients. And were they ever appreciative!

“You made my day.”

“That brought a tear to my eye.”

“Oh, thank you so much.”

“How special.”

The day was captured by photographer Tim Sofranko and videographer Joel Bottom and shared on social media by Wolfe.

DePauw professors and staff members clearly still hold a strong place in the hearts of former students.

“The best part of the day was hand-delivering them, and you could see that spark in people’s faces when the read the names on the cards,” Wolfe says. “It’s always nice to be part of something like that. It says a lot about our alumni and their connection to DePauw.”
