Connecting Our Community with Resources After Business Hours

The DePauw University Communication Center operates 24 hours a day, serving as both the campus police dispatch center and an information relay hub for other university offices.

In addition to managing campus calls, the Communication Center coordinates after-hours communication by connecting callers with on-call staff from various departments. When a request or call is received, a dispatcher promptly facilitates contact with the appropriate university representative.

After regular business hours, the following departments may be reached by calling the Communication Center at 765-658-5555 or ext. 5555 from any campus phone:

• Counseling Services – Counselor on call

• Facilities Management – Including emergency facilities repairs

• Health Services – Doctor on call

• Campus Living & Community Development – Residence Life Coordinator, Resident Assistant, and Apartment Manager

• S.A.N.E. (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner)

University Switchboard

The University Switchboard, reachable at 765-658-4800, serves as the main line to DePauw University. Professional operators manage this line and are responsible for directing calls to the appropriate campus departments while also supporting the Communication Center’s operations.
