Housing and Residence Life at DePauw University seeks to hire a diverse group of student leaders for the 2025-2026 Resident Assistant (RA) team. We are seeking leaders who are passionate about and committed to positively contributing to the development of healthy, inclusive residence hall communities. The Resident Assistant position is for the fall and spring semesters of the 2025-2026 academic year with the option to add a Winter Term appointment. 

The position commences with intensive education and development in August 2025. All Resident Assistants are supervised by professional staff members who work in the Housing & Residence Life Office.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE RA POSITION

Resident Assistant candidates must be enrolled students for the 2025-2026 academic year and must be at least a first-semester sophomore for the fall 2025 semester. Candidates must be in good academic standing (2.75 GPA or higher) and are expected to maintain a 2.75 GPA or higher during their time in the position should they be hired. Additionally, candidates must be in good standing with DePauw University and cannot be on any form of university probation or suspension.

Those interested in the Resident Assistant position must attend one (1) interest session in order to apply. Interest Sessions are designed to help students learn more detailed information about the application process and the Resident Assistant position to determine if the role is a good fit.

Interest Sessions will be held in the Reese Hall Lobby and are scheduled for the following dates and times:

Monday, November 18, 2024: 5:30-6:30 PM

Wednesday, November 20, 2024: 7:00-8:00 PM

Thursday, November 21, 2024: 7:00-8:00 PM

Tuesday, December 3, 2024: 5:30-6:30 PM

Thursday, December 5, 2024: 12:00 PM-1:00 PM

Monday, January 13, 2025: 12:00-1:00 PM (Virtual - Link available in Campus Labs)

Tuesday, January 14, 2025: 5:30-6:30 PM (Virtual - Link available in Campus Labs)

The application will only be made available to students who attend an interest session. In order to complete the application, candidates will need three (3) recommendations in addition to the application itself.

• One from a DePauw University faculty member
• One from a DePauw University faculty or administrative/staff member
• One from a 2024-2025 Housing and Residence Life Resident Assistant
