As you prepare for this exciting new chapter, know that we are here to support you every step of the way. From preparing for your arrival on campus to settling into your new home, our dedicated team is committed to ensuring a smooth transition for you. We look forward to seeing the unique contributions you will bring and are excited to help you navigate your journey ahead.
Within a week of submitting your enrollment deposit, you will receive an email letting you know your student account and @depauw.edu email account are ready for activation.
Should you run into issues logging into e-Services for the first time, contact the Office of Admission at 765-658-4006 or admission@depauw.edu. For issues accessing your accounts after the initial login, contact the HelpDesk at 765-658-4294 or helpdesk@depauw.edu. Please note that due to FERPA regulations, we are only able to assist you directly.
DePauw's pre-orientation program is uniquely designed to support you in your transition to college. At your Gold Enrollment Day, you will meet with an academic adviser to discuss class registration, complete placement tests, get your official student ID card, learn more about campus resources, tour first-year residence halls and connect with your future classmates who are sure to become lifelong friends.
Register here for one of three on-campus Gold Enrollment Days, or our virtual option if you are unable to join us in Greencastle!
Approximately two weeks after submitting your enrollment deposit, you will receive an email notifying you that your Housing Application is now available. You can find your Housing Application here at that time.
To log in, your username will be your full DePauw email address (firstlastname_2029@depauw.edu) and your password will be the same password you use to log into e-Services.
You can reference our detailed instructions on how to complete your housing forms and information on residence halls as needed.
Completing the Academic Interests Form helps our Registrar's office better understand your academic interests and plans, which aids us in creating your fall term schedule. Typically available in May, you will complete your Academic Interests Form in e-Services.
If you studied a language other than English in high school, you must complete the placement procedure or test for the language(s) you have studied prior to the first day of classes. Full details on Language Requirement & Placement Exams can be found here.
To help you build a well-balanced schedule, DePauw uses a course request process in which you list choices for eight First-Year Seminars and 10-15 regular courses you are most interested in taking. Your fall schedule is then built from these requests.
Course requests typically open from mid-May through mid-July and are not first come, first-served. Rather, we collect all requests during this period of time; once the request period closes, the Office of the Registrar will build your schedule, which will be available in late July. If needed, adjustments to your schedule may be made in consultation with your faculty advisor during New Student Orientation in August.
To make the most of your course requests, review the Academic Life webpage for a list of seminars (FYS) and courses available to first-years, AP/IB and dual enrollment advanced placement information, graduation requirements and Advising Quick Links.
Students in pre-health, pre-engineering, music, or those participating in our Honor Scholars, Environmental Fellows or Management Fellows programs will receive additional program recommendations via email in mid-May.
Please request that your final high school and/or college transcript be sent to the Office of Admission as soon as it is available.
All students beginning at DePauw in the fall term of 2025 are required to submit a completed immunization record to the DePauw Health Wellness Center via secure email (depauwhealth@hendricks.org) no later than August 1, 2025.
Immunization records must be on official medical office letterhead or state immunization registry stationery. Records that are pulled from an individual’s private health portal will be accepted only if their name and date of birth are clearly visible. All records must have the student’s legal name, date of birth, DePauw ID number and a phone number where the student can be reached with questions. All records must be submitted in English.
Please reference all required and recommended immunizations before submitting your records to ensure compliance. Should you need them, DePauw's medical and religious exemption policies are detailed here.
Immunization tips for international students:
Your home country may have different dosing requirements for certain vaccines or not have certain vaccinations available. If you have questions about how to provide proof of immunization or about getting vaccinated on arrival, please email depauwhealth@hendricks.org.
Students are required to provide proof of personal health insurance coverage valid in the U.S. annually or be automatically enrolled in an insurance policy provided by DePauw University in partnership with EIIA and United Healthcare. Detailed plan information can be found here.
Students who are U.S. citizens and have insurance coverage individually or through a parent/guardian may choose to waive the insurance provided by DePauw. For students beginning at DePauw in the fall term of 2025, proof of insurance must be provided by August 29, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. to avoid automatic enrollment in the university’s plan.
Waive or enroll in DePauw's insurance policy here.
Please note that while all students will be billed for the university insurance on their first statement, students who waive the university insurance will see a credit for the insurance charge within two weeks of submitting their waiver.

Students participating on an intercollegiate athletics team must have personal insurance coverage that covers athletically related injuries. Students can purchase additional athletics insurance coverage through EIIA here if their personal insurance lacks the appropriate coverage. The athletics insurance policy premium for Aug. 1, 2024 – July 31, 2025 is $800; we anticipate 2025-26 premiums will be available in early May and will be updated here at that time.
Students participating in intercollegiate athletics must also disclose their personal health insurance information to the Sports Medicine Staff; disclosure of personal health insurance to athletic training does not constitute an approved waiver. Student-athletes should contact their head coach or head athletics trainer, Kara Campbell, at karacampbell@depauw.edu for more information.
All new students must complete online training modules for substance abuse prevention and sexual assault prevention. These training sessions give us a shared language and the skills needed to work together as a DePauw community to create a culture grounded in care for one another.
Our training partner, Vector Solutions, will send a message to your DePauw email with access to these online modules in mid-July. Please plan to complete all trainings prior to your arrival to campus.

As you finalize your travel plans, we ask that you fill out our Travel Form by July 1, 2025. This will allow us to support you and your family as needed during travel, including providing shuttle service from the Indianapolis Airport to DePauw's campus.
Students with citizenship from countries other than the United States will be automatically enrolled in DePauw's insurance plan. The insurance policy premium for January 1, 2025 – July 31, 2025 is $858; we anticipate 2025-26 premiums will be available in early May and will be updated here at that time.
Detailed plan information can be found here. You may not waive this insurance.
Your DePauw Student ID is used to access your residence, buildings around campus and for your meal plan. Follow these steps to upload a photo and have your Student ID waiting for you on move-in day.
